
David provides independent, financial planning based wealth management services to select families, corporations, endowments and trusts. He began his career in finance over 30 years ago with a major regional bank. With a foundation in credit and business analysis, he rose through the ranks to become a multinational commercial lending officer. He then moved to the investment side of the bank as a municipal and project finance investment banker, advising public and private entities nationwide. His 15 year career as an investment banker included his tenure as a founder and managing partner with First American Municipals, Inc. Following his creation and launching of First American Asset Management, the firm’s investment advisory division, he left to form his own independent practice to focus on advising individuals and corporations.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and history with high honors from the University of Memphis where he also did graduate work in finance. He attained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
designation in 1998. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
As a result of his over 30 years of experience and diverse background in multiple areas of finance and investments, David is able to offer time tested advice over the entire spectrum of financial planning and wealth management.
David enjoys cycling, playing and coaching hockey, running, skiing and spending time with his family. He is active with several charitable entities and resides in Saratoga Springs, New York.
